Record Closes on Wall Street Following News of Greek Debt Deal

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Wall Street enjoyed a happy Friday, as two of the major indices closed the session at all-time highs, with a third reaching its best close in more than a decade.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed to a record of 18140.44, the first record close of the year.
The Nasdaq gained 31.27 to 4955.97 — a 15-year high. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 reached a new record close of 2110.30, up 12.85 from its open.
The positive day on Wall Street followed news that the European Union and Greece reached a debt deal that would keep Greece in the EU. Greece received a four-month extension.
