Richard Sherman Opts Against Elbow Surgery

Steve Dykes/Getty Images(SEATTLE, Wa.) — The provocative and talented cornerback of the Seattle Seahawks has opted against undergoing elbow surgery.
Richard Sherman suffered an elbow injury against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC championship game: he awkwardly bent his arm between Packers running back James Starks and Seahawks defensive back Kam Chancellor.
Sherman played the rest of the of the game, but it was believed the injury would require Tommy John surgery.
He also played with a brace during the Seahawks 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Sherman confirmed the decisicion to skip the operation to the Associated Press on Tuesday.
