IDAHO FALLS – The mayor of Idaho Falls and several other community leaders will travel to Washington DC this week to meet with members of the Idaho congressional delegation.

The group will discuss issues affecting eastern Idaho and also meet with folks from the US Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Energy, and the Energy Community Alliance.

“The advocacy trip this year is a little different,” says Mayor Rebecca Casper. “We invited a large cross-section of community leaders to attend, and we are expanding our messaging beyond our traditional energy sectors.”

Community to Capital Representatives include:

– Rebecca Casper, Mayor, City of Idaho Falls
– Sean Coletti, Councilman, City of Ammon
– Michelle Holt, Chief Executive Officer, Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce
– Linda Martin, Chief Executive Officer, Grow Idaho Falls
– Leslie Jones, Chief Executive Officer, Partnership for Science & Technology
– Dale Lundblade, Contracts Manager, Stoller Newport News Nuclear (SN3)
– Damond Watkins, Vice President of Corporate Relations, Melaleuca
– Rick Dale, Communications Director, Idaho Treatment Group

Representatives will meet with the media on April 2 to discuss their trip. EastIdahoNews.com will provide a full report at that time.
