According to the Apple website, the App, iTunes, iBooks and Mac App stores were all unavailable beginning at 5 a.m. Wednesday. iCloud Mail and iCloud Account and Sign in pages were also affected initially, though those outages were resolved by about 9 a.m. The store outages were resolved shortly after 4 p.m. ET.

“We apologize to our customers experiencing problems with iTunes and other services this morning,” a statement from Apple earlier Wednesday read. “The cause was an internal DNS error at Apple.”

Some users were able to access the stores themselves, searching through, but according to tech site Engadget, they were unable to purchase any items from Apples stores. When users clicked “Get” or “Install” on their desired purchase, the stores simply didn’t process the selection, reverting back to the original “Get” option.

The glitch came two days after the company unveiled its Apple Watch and a new Macbook.
