Blue Jays Pitcher Marcus Stroman Out 2015 Season
Published at(NEW YORK) — Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman will be out the entire 2015 season with a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced on Tuesday.
The injury occurred during a bunt play.
Stroman, who went 11-6 with a 3.65 ERA last season, took the news rather hard.
“Beyond devastated. Not being able to compete with my brothers each and every day is extremely disappointing. Still can’t believe it,” Stroman tweeted on Tuesday.
Stroman is set to visit with Dr. James Andrews about a second opinion, but surgery is expected.
