New Hampshire State Police said the 17-year-old was driving in Nashua around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, when he lost control of his four-door sedan, according to ABC News affiliate WMUR-TV.

The vehicle went airborne after he allegedly hit a snow embankment in the road’s right breakdown lane, according to WMUR-TV.

The car finally came to a rest on the railing of the Sagamore Bridge, leaving the rear end of the car dangling over the Merrimack River, state police told WMUR-TV.

The driver was able to climb safely out of his vehicle, with the river 75 feet below.

The teen was cited for a highway markings violation, according to WMUR-TV.

New Hampshire State Police did not respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
