The soon-to-be 30-year-old Olivera’s contract includes a $28 million signing bonus, the rep notes.

Olivera’s main position in Cuba was second base, but he’s expected to play third for the Dodgers, who already have Howie Kendrick and Jimmy Rollins playing in the infield.

Olivera has played 10 seasons for Santiago de Cuba. During that time, he’s compiled a .323 batting average, 96 home runs, 433 RBIs, and a .407 on-base percentage.
