Dwight Howard Begins On-Court Practice
Published at(HOUSTON, Tx.) — Dwight Howard is making his way back onto the court.
The Houston Rockets center has begun on-court rehabilitation after a procedure on a knee edema.
“He’s starting to do a combination of treadmill/floor stuff, which is a good sign, but they’re going slow, said Rockets coach Kevin McHale.”They want to make sure they have a handle on it. It’s bothered him really all year.”
Despite Howard’s absence, the Rockets are 10-6 since the Houston big man was sidelined on Jan. 30. James Harden has carried the Rockets, as he averaged 26.7 points and 7.6 assists during the month of February. In March, Harden is off to an even hotter start as he is averaging 29.3 points and 9.3 assists through four games.
Through 32 games this season Howard is averaging 16.3 points and 11 rebounds per game.
