ESPN is reporting that the Bills and Hughes have agreed on a five-year deal worth more than $45 million.

A first-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2010, Hughes recorded a total of just five sacks during his time with the Colts. He started just seven games over his three seasons with the team.

Then Hughes signed with the Bills prior to the start of the 2013 season and became one of the most productive defensive ends in the NFL.

In two seasons with the Bills, the 26-year-old Hughes has recorded 19.5 sacks, while recording 99 tackles and forcing five forced fumbles.

Buffalo had the fourth-best ranked defense in 2014.
