IFPD participating in impaired driving campaign

  Published at

IDAHO FALLS — The Idaho Falls Police Department is cracking down on drunk drivers during St. Patrick’s Day week.

IFPD is teaming up with the Idaho Transportation Department and other law enforcement agencies to conduct education campaigns and high-visibility enforcement patrols.

The department received $2,500 in funding from ITD’s Office of Highway Safety to pay for additional support during the campaign.

“Our agency is committed to helping keep our roadways safe,” IFPD Chief Mark McBride said. “We’re glad to be able to provide extra patrols during the next couple of weeks to help combat impaired driving.”
