NY Rangers Complete Mega Deal for Yandle

(NEW YORK) — The New York Rangers have completed a deal to acquire one of the top scoring defenseman in the NHL.
The Rangers have acquired Keith Yandle, as well as defenseman Chris Summers and a 2016 fourth-round pick from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for defenseman John Moore, top prospect Anthony Duclair, a 2016 first-round pick, and a 2015 second-round pick.
Yandle has had two 50+ point seasons in his career and recorded at least 30 points over the last seven seasons, including 41 so far this season.
The Coyotes will assume 50% of the salary remaining on Yandle’s contract. He has one year remaining on his deal; he’s scheduled to make $5.75 million next season.
The Rangers are 38-17-6, 82 pts, sitting at 3rd in the Eastern Conference.
