‘Religious Freedom’ Bill Passes Arkansas State Senate
Published at(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) — Three amendments to an Arkansas bill similar to the controversial “religious freedom” bill signed into law in Indiana last week were approved by the Arkansas State Legislature on Tuesday.
The bill, which aims “to enact the religious freedom restoration act; and to declare an emergency,” was passed weeks ago, and three amendments passed the state Senate on Tuesday. The combined bill will next be sent to Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s desk for approval.
Hutchinson has said publicly that he would approve the bill.
