Which Celebrity Made Al Pacino Star Struck?

Timothy Hiatt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — One would think that Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino has seen it all when it comes to Hollywood celebrities. Still, there was one musician who left the actor starstruck.

“I met John Lennon once — it was great,” Pacino told People magazine. “I’ll never forget that moment. You can’t say that about many people.”

“It was a typical New York day. He was walking with Yoko [Ono], I was walking alone, as usual. And there I am, walking, we pass each other. And I look at him, he smiled at me, I smiled at him. And we waved,” Pacino detailed.

“It was great. Just in that smile, you could see that spirit right there,” he gushed.

Pacino stars as the titular character in Danny Collins, a film centered on a fledgling musician, who discovers a note from Lennon. The film also stars Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner and Bobby Cannavale. It opens in limited release Friday.
