After Four Rain Delays, Matt Kenseth Wins at Bristol
Published at(BRISTOL) — The wait was surely worth it.
After four rain delays and eleven extra laps, Matt Kenseth took the checkered flag at Bristol Motorspeedway to end a 51-race victory drought.
“It feels good to be back here. Not winning for as long as we did…it wears on you a little bit,” Kenseth said. “We had such a good 2013, and last year there were some races we had some chances to win, and just things wouldn’t line up for us.”
Rain delayed the start of the race for nearly an hour and a half. It was followed up by another delay that stopped the race for almost four hours and one that came as NASCAR attempted to race to the checkered flag.
