Dog Owners Share Love of Fast Food with Rover

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Dogs are true connoisseurs of fast food — that is, if you regard a box of kibbles as fast food.
However, a new trend appears to be emerging, based on a poll by marketing research firm Relevation Research, that suggests Fido is enjoying tastier meals normally reserved for people.
According to the survey of 1,500 adults, one in six admit purchasing an item for their dog while taking out fast food or ordering at the drive-thru.
Breaking it down further, among the third of people who’ve used a drive-thru with a dog in their car, 80 percent of these owners have ordered a menu selection for Rover.
Men were found to go to fast food restaurants with their dogs twice as often as women, while people between 18-34 did this more often than any other age group.
As for the most popular fast food restaurants to visit with a dog, McDonald’s was first. with Burger King and Wendy’s at second and third, respectively.
