Despite a recent report, Monroe denies that he’s already pick his new team, the New York Knicks.

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Monroe signing with the Knicks is “about as close to a done deal as you can get.”

Monroe is denying any such agreement.

Agreeing to a deal before the free agency is illegal in NBA, let alone before a season ends.

“You write it’s a done deal, there must be another Greg Monroe around here that I don’t know about, because I haven’t agreed to anything,” Monroe told Mlive.com’s David Mayo.

“This stuff right here, it’s just unfortunate that we have to talk about it,” Monroe added. “I know we have to. But I talk to my agent every day, and I know for sure, I’m 100-percent, 1,000-percent confident, that he hasn’t done anything. If (the Knicks) have interest, maybe they might have commented on that. But I haven’t even gotten to that place yet.”

A five-year NBA veteran, Monroe is averaging 16.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per game with the Pistons this year.
