Robert Durst Indicted by Federal Grand Jury on Weapon Charge

HBO(NEW ORLEANS) — Real estate heir Robert Durst is not only facing state weapons and drug charges for being a felon in possession of a gun in Louisiana, but federal charges as well.
On Friday, a federal indictment was returned against Durst on similar charges.
In court documents obtained by ABC News, a federal judge has ordered that Durst be transferred from state custody in Louisiana to federal custody by the afternoon of April 14.
Police said a gun and drugs were found when Durst was arrested in New Orleans.
The federal charge could bring 10 years in prison. Durst is still wanted in California on murder charges.
