San Diego Sheriff’s Deputies ‘Detain’ Baby Seal
Published at(SAN DIEGO) — San Diego sheriff’s deputies put a real slippery suspect behind bars, “detaining” a baby seal that took a day trip to a local high school.
The seal managed to get five blocks from the shoreline to Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach, California, on Friday before officers caught up with the pup, police said.
They managed to “detain” the seal in their patrol car until animal control officers and Sea World employees arrived.
“While Deputy Sheriffs attempted to interview him as to his activities, he clammed up and requested his lawyer,” police said in a news release.
