Sofia Vergara’s Ex-Fiancé Files Lawsuit over Fertilized Eggs
Published at(LOS ANGELES) — Sofia Vergara’s ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, has filed a lawsuit to prevent the Modern Family star from destroying the fertilized eggs they created when they were together, according to TMZ.
Loeb claims he still wants to have a baby. According to the lawsuit, Loeb alleges that he and Vergara made a contract in November 2013 when they both agreed to attempt to have children via in vitro fertilization. Her eggs were fertilized by his sperm, then frozen and stored at a Beverly Hills facility.
Loeb says that Vergara wants to terminate the fertilized eggs because they called it quits, but he says he has the right to use the stored samples to have a child because both parties have not agreed in writing to destroy the eggs.
Loeb also claims in the lawsuit that he was physically abused and berated by Vergara.
As for Vergara, she’s now engaged to Magic Mike XXL star Joe Manganiello.
