AFTON, Wyo. — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will break ground on a new temple in Afton, Wyo. Saturday. Anyone wishing to participate can attend the event.

The ceremony, which begins at 2 p.m., also will be broadcast to the Afton Tabernacle and the Thayne Wyoming Stake Center and be streamed online here.

KBYI Reporter David Dahl has more on the story in the podcast below:

Those traveling from the north should enter at the north lot, and those traveling from the south should enter at the south lot. Car pooling and use of the drop-off areas near the canopy are encouraged. Parking areas will open at 10:30 a.m. with the hope of having everyone in their seats by 1:30 p.m. Those who live close to the site may choose to walk. Please bring a chair! Following the ceremony, you are invited to bring your family for pictures at the groundbreaking site turning shovels.

The Star Valley Wyoming Temple will be the first temple built in Wyoming.
