“Suicide Squad” Director Tweets New Photo of Jared Leto as the Joker

ABC/Craig Sjodin(NEW YORK) — The latest sneak peek of Jared Leto as the Joker in the upcoming movie Suicide Squad had social media buzzing on Friday.
Director David Ayer tweeted a photo of Leto’s Joker in celebration of the 75th birthday of the Batman villain.

Leto sports the Joker’s trademark green hair, but he also has grills on his teeth and tattoos on his forehead, arms, chest and stomach.
It’s a noticeable departure from Heath Ledger’s version of the Joker in The Dark Knight.
In Suicide Squad, a number of DC’s signature supervillains are brought together for a secret government operation. It will also star Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis.
Suicide Squad will open Aug. 5, 2016.
