“The Longest Ride” Opens Nationwide Friday
Published at(NEW YORK) — The latest movie adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel hits theaters on Friday.
The Longest Ride focuses on the love story between Luke, a comeback-minded bull rider, and Sophia, a college student ready to jump into New York City’s art scene. They connect with and are inspired by an older man and his romance with his longtime wife.
Britt Robertson, Scott Eastwood, Jack Huston, Oona Chaplin and Alan Alda star in The Longest Ride, which is the only film opening nationwide this weekend. It’s rated PG-13.
The Longest Ride will have a tough time knocking Furious 7 out of the top spot. Furious 7 set an April debut record last weekend with $147 million, and figures to remain the box office champ this weekend.
