Thunderstorm, hail blast through southeast Idaho
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS – A quick-moving thunderstorm blasted through Idaho Falls Wednesday afternoon. Heavy rain, lightning, and large amounts of hail pounded the area around 3:15 as the storm moved north toward Rexburg and St. Anthony.
The National Weather Service warned up to half an inch of heavy rain could fall. Hail accumulated deep enough to cause drainage and travel problems. Reports indicate there were some issues along I-15 and Idaho 33 near Sage Junction.
