Ucon Woman Arrested for DUI, drove into pond at Golf course

IDAHO FALLS — Idaho Falls Police arrested 30‐year‐old Irma A. Valero for driving under the influence, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest felony battery on an officer and felony battery against a healthcare worker following an accident Sunday night.

Valero of Ucon was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to a traffic accident in the 5200 block of Gleneagles Drive around 11 p.m. Valero had driven her gray Honda sedan into a pond at Sage Lakes Golf Course.

During their accident investigation, officers determined Valero was driving under the influence. She was arrested and taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for a jail clearance. While at the hospital, Valero became combative and non‐compliant. She kicked both an officer and a nurse.
