Boston Unveils Updated Proposal for 2024 Olympic Games
Published at | Updated at(BOSTON) — Organizers released an updated proposal for Boston to potentially host the Olympic Games in 2024 on Monday.
The updated proposal would include 8,000 units of housing, new hotels, a 15-acre city park among 12 million square feet of permanent development. The plan would cost over $4 billion, funded by private developers.
Residents of Boston responded coolly to the initial proposal, with concerns about transportation and crowding raised by some.
The U.S. Olympic Committee must choose a city to represent its bid by September.
