Dwyane Wade Declines Option, Becomes Free Agent

Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images(MIAMI) — Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade will become a free agent after choosing not to pick up a player-option for next season.
Wade was set to make $16.1 million next year, but after choosing to decline the option, will automatically become a free agent. The 33-year-old guard is believed to be seeking a multi-year contract for about the same annual value.
Wade has spent the entirety of his 12-year career with the Heat.
