Title of “Guardians of the Galaxy” Sequel Revealed

Buena Vista Pictures(LOS ANGELES) — The title for the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy has been revealed.
Writer/director James Gunn confirmed the title Monday on Twitter. He wrote, “Yes, the official title for the @Guardians sequel is GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2.”
It was Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige who first spilled the beans, in an interview with Collider. He commented, “We start shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 in February-March 2016.”
The first film made 333 million dollars at the domestic box office following its release last August. It grossed 774 million worldwide.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit theaters in May of 2017.
