This class just made their teacher cry, but for a good reason

Students at Staten Island’s Public School 22 decided it was time to honor one of their “unsung” heroes.
In a video that has now gone viral, the PS22 chorus performed a rendition of Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” for Adriana Lopez, a teacher at the school who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, according to Mashable.
The emotional performance, which has racked up well over a million views on YouTube in just two days, brought Lopez to tears.
"It's not easy,” Lopez says in the video, “but I will get through it because I have wonderful friends at this school."
The song the students chose to sing, which was released in 2011, peaked at No. 4 on Bilboard’s US Hot Country Songs chart and was nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 54th Grammy Awards, is particularly appropriate because it details a woman’s emotional struggle while supporting her cancerous husband.
The official video for “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” features comments by actual cancer survivors, such as Sheryl Crow, who explain the frustrations and sorrow that come with a diagnosis.
“When you’re diagnosed with cancer, everybody around you is diagnosed as well,” Crow says in the video.
According to Today, the PS22 chorus has been in the spotlight before for their renditions of pop songs.
“The group has performed at the Academy Awards and sung with celebrities including Carrie Underwood and Katy Perry,” Today’s Eun Kyung Kim wrote. “They performed at President Obama's second inauguration and their YouTube page has received nearly 70 million views.”
