Gas goes up 7 cents across Idaho today
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — Summer in Idaho brings not only plenty of fun, outdoor cookouts and maybe even a vacation or two, but also state laws ready to go into effect. The law most likely to have immediate effect on Idahoans is the gas tax increase.
Lawmakers passed a $95 million transportation plan designed to help repair Idaho’s bridges and roads. This means vehicle-registration fees are going up $21 and Idaho residents will pay 7 cents more for gas.
EastIdahoNews.com Reporter Mark Richardson sat down with Idaho Rep. Jeff Thompson to discuss the change. Listen to the interview in the clip above.
