Suicide Car Bomb Targets NATO Convoy in Afghanistan

GETTY 7715 AfghanMap?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1436264562520iStock/Thinkstock(KABUL, Afghanistan) — At least five people were injured Tuesday when a suicide car bomb targeted a NATO convoy in eastern Afghanistan, according to officials.

The attack, which the Taliban has claimed responsibility for, happened in the Shah Shaheed area of Kabul, police said. NATO confirmed the incident, adding that it suffered no casualties.

According to officials from the ministry of health, the five injured were all civilians.

Meanwhile, another suicide attack was reported in the same area Tuesday, this time targeting an Afghan intelligence regional office. It is unclear if there were any injuries or casualties.
