Unique conditions in Idaho a boon for fishermen

  Published at

IDAHO FALLS — Continuing drought conditions in the West, have caused Montana, Oregon, and Washington to enact emergency fishing rules and restrictions as a result of the low water flows and warm water conditions.

However, Idaho is experiencing a less severe drought. That combined with some conditions unique to Idaho water, is allowing Idaho Fish and Game to keep the waterways fully open to fisherman this summer.

Fish and Game representative Gregg Losinski explains that, despite the heat wave we endured in late June, there are several things that have prevented Idaho from becoming like neighboring states.

EastIdahoNews.com Reporter Mark Richardson spoke with Losinski about the issue in the clip above.
