The Empire star claimed he signed the divorce agreement — which gave his ex-wife $5,800 every month — under duress when Ghent tried to blackmail Howard by threatening to release humiliating videos of the actor, according to TMZ. Ghent will now have to agree to a revised settlement in her divorce to the Oscar-nominated actor.

Ghent’s lawyers claim her actions were part of a mutually disrespectful marriage.

Howard was also married to Lori McCommas from 1989 until 2007. He divorced his third wife, Miranda Cristine Pak, last month.
