Rihanna Gets New Ink in NYC

Eric McCandless/CBS(NEW YORK) — Rihanna, who already has a number of tattoos on various parts of her body, added another to the collection.
The “Four Five Seconds” singer had “1988,” the year she was born, written on her right ankle, courtesy of the celebrated tattoo artist Bang Bang, whose other famous clients include Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus, and Lady Gaga.
Rihanna shared a photo of the new ink in an Instagram post on Thursday.
RiRi was spotted entering Bang Bang’s studio in New York City on Wednesday, and hung out with rapper Travis Scott inside the studio, according to People magazine.
The 27-year-old’s other tattoos include a tribal print covering her entire right hand; a large image of the Egyptian goddess Isis across her chest, which she had done in honor of her late grandma Clara “Dolly” Brathwaite; and a series of stars down her neck and onto her back, which matches ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s star tattoos.
She also sports a bust of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti on her rib cage; the words “shhh” and “love” on her fingers; and a gun on her right rib cage.
Rihanna will appear on the ninth season of The Voice as a multi-team advisor during the knockout rounds. The show returns September 21 on NBC.
