ISU announces 2015-16 men’s baskseball schedule

POCATELLO, Idaho — The Idaho State men’s basketball program has announced its 2015-16 schedule. The schedule consists of 15 home games, two being exhibition and nonconference road games at Washington State, Denver, Utah, Lamar, Portland and a three-game tournament at Utah State.

ISU opens with two exhibition games on Oct. 30 vs. Montana Tech and Nov. 6 vs. Westminster. The regular season officially kicks off Nov. 13 vs. Great Falls and Nov. 16 vs. Dickinson State.

The Bengals then hit the road for five games, starting Nov. 20 at Washington State. ISU then plays at Denver (Nov. 25), Utah (Nov. 27), Lamar (Dec. 5) and Portland (Dec. 8).

ISU hosts Utah Valley University on Dec. 12 before playing in the Global Sports Tournament at Utah State Dec. 21-23. During the three day tournament, the Bengals will play North Dakota State (Dec. 21), Utah State (Dec. 22) and Texas Rio-Grande Valley (Dec. 23).

The final nonconference game of the 2015-16 season is a Dec. 29 home contest vs. Cal State Northridge.

Big Sky Conference play begins Jan. 2 at Weber State. The home conference games are vs. Northern Colorado (Jan. 7), North Dakota (Jan. 9), Weber State (Jan. 23), Southern Utah (Jan. 28), NAU (Jan. 30), Portland State (Feb. 11), Sacramento State (Feb. 13), Montana (Feb. 25) and Montana State Feb. 27).

Following the Jan. 2 game at Weber State, ISU plays at Sacramento State (Jan. 14), Portland State (Jan. 16), North Dakota (Feb. 4), Northern Colorado (Feb. 6), Northern Arizona (Feb. 18), Southern Utah (Feb. 20), Eastern Washington (March 3) and Idaho (March 5).

The Big Sky Conference Tournament will be held March 8-12 in Reno, Nevada. All Big Sky teams will participate.
