Overheated towels lead to small fire at restaurant
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — A minor fire occurred at Blue Wave on Rollandet Street on Thursday, Sept. 3, around 1:30 p.m.
Idaho Falls Fire Chief Dave Hannemen said the fire didn’t burn the building. The cause was towels overheating in a dryer.
No one was hurt.
Hanneman said fire crews were still on the restaurant at 2 p.m. clearing smoke out of the building.
There appeared to be at least two police cars, two ambulances and four fire trucks at the scene of the fire.
Rollandet was blocked off and the building was evacuated so firefighters could put out the fire and clear the smoke.
