Photos: Madison, Idaho Falls take district titles at cross country meet

IDAHO FALLS – The Madison girl’s and the Skyline boy’s cross country teams took the district titles Friday afternoon at Freeman Park. Individual champions were Madison’s Rachel Morrin for the girls and Isaac Kunz of Idaho Falls for the boys.

DistCC1-15 — Madison’s Rachel Morrin leads Ashlyn Dyer of Idaho Falls in the first mile as the two battled early in the race for the district title.

DistCC2-15 — Madison took the team title as four Bobcats, Sara Lemon, Megan Gehmlich, Kate Lemon and Mykala Wright, joined Morrin in the top 10 runners at the district meet.

DistCC4-15 — Morrin rounds the home stretch as she won the girls race by 75 meters.

DistCC6-15 — In the boys race, all the racers were bunched up for the first half of the race with no clear runner taking charge.

DistCC8-15 — With 1,000 meters to go, Kunz was in third place, but was able to pass Hillcrest’s Constancio Luis and Bonneville’s Coen Haroldsen to take the district championship
