Political Podcast – Analyn Frasure: Council needs a woman’s perspective

Name: Analyn Frasure

City: Pocatello

Office: City Council

City Council candidate Analyn Frasure says she is a listener and wants to hear all sides of the problems facing the city. She believes the best answers are the results of teamwork.

Frasure, who was raised in Pocatello, has been a nurse for the past 40 years and is still working full time.

Nursing has taught Frasure to listen to all the facts before making a decision and she believes that will help her listen to what the community has to say.

One of the main reasons Frasure says she is running is that the City Council will be all men if a woman isn’t elected this November. Eva Johnson Nye is not running again for her seat, and Frasure said a woman’s perspective is necessary.

Frasure says the budget needs to be streamlined making sure the tax dollars are spent in the most effective manner. She wants to see the budget reviewed department by department to justify city spending.
