POCATELLO — Three people were arrested Monday Oct. 5, in connection with the recent string of burglaries in the Pocatello area. Krista Oliver, 24, and Sonnie Curtis, 51, both of Tacoma, Wash., and Zachery McGriff, 23, of Pocatello, were each arrested on five counts of burglary, and Oliver on one count of fraud.

Several cars in the Pocatello area had been broken into over the weekend and purses containing financial cards were stolen. After the cards were stolen, police said they found Oliver had been using them at local businesses.

Video footage helped the locate Oliver’s vehicle at a Motel 6 in Pocatello where she was staying, said Bannock County Dispatch Supervisor Capt. K.G. Fonnesbeck.

The three were arrested after the hotel room was searched and stolen property was found. No estimate of the value of items stolen has been released. Oliver and Curtis were both from Washington, while McGriff was from Pocatello.

The arrests were a joint effort between Pocatello police, Chubbuck police and the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, said Pocatello Police spokesperson Dianne Brush.

All three were booked into the Bannock County Jail. Oliver currently has a bond of $25,000, Curtis’ is for $2,500, and McGriff is not bondable. Oliver’s bond is high due to the fraud charges, authorities said. Police did not say why McGriff was not bondable.
