IDAHO FALLS — Authorities arrested Kelly R. Noack, 36, on Monday, Nov. 24, after reports of a domestic dispute between the man and his wife at their home.

The Idaho Falls man was charged with felony attempted strangulation, misdemeanor domestic battery in the presence of a child and misdemeanor destruction of a telecommunication line. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

Police Department Capt. Darren Cook told EastIdahoNews.com the wife reported the incident to police. She told officers her husband punched the side of her head, shoved her against a wall and placed a blanket around her head before attempting to strangle her.

Noack also tried to prevent his wife from calling 911, Cook said.

Officers responded to the residence in the 100 block of 5th Street where Noack was arrested.

Noack’s bond was set at $50,000. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 8.
