CHUBBUCK — An 84-year-old woman accidentally drove though the front of Geraldine’s Bake Shoppe and Deli on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Authorities responded around 9 a.m. to the business on 246 E. Chubbuck Road.

“A customer drove up and parked and instead of hitting the brake, (the person) hit the gas and drove into the store,” Chubbuck Police Sgt. Steve Young told EastIdahoNews.com.

No one was injured in the accident, but the business sustained significant damage. Young said the front doors and portions of the wall were damaged.

Store managers said the bakery will be closed for about a week.
