Idaho Falls Citizen Review Committee application deadline extended

IDAHO FALLS — The Jan. 11 deadline for Citizen Review Committee applications has been extended to Friday, Jan. 15.

The deadline extension is due to the holiday season and to give residents sufficient time to apply, according to a news release. Idaho Falls residency is required to apply.

Citizen Review Committees were established by Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper in Feb. 2014 to provide reviews of local city departments. The three departments to be reviewed in 2016 are the Legal Services Department, the Idaho Falls Fire Department and Human Resources.

The link to the application, along with reviews from previous committees, can be found at idahofallsidaho.gov.

“The application is very simple and intended to help us identify those citizens with aptitude and interest in learning about and improving city governance,” Casper said in a news release. “We’ve experienced tremendous success thus far with the quality of participation from citizens.”
