Idaho Falls to hold State of the City address Thursday

IDAHO FALLS — Mayor Rebecca Casper will give the annual State of the City address Thursday, Jan. 14, during the first City Council meeting of the year.

Before the meeting the city will hold a Community Open House at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 680 Park Ave. to honor outgoing City Councilmembers Sharon Parry and Mike Lehto. Lehto is leaving the Council after 16 years and Parry served eight years.

The open house will be followed by the regular Council meeting at 7:30 p.m. where Casper will install newly-elected Councilmembers Michelle Ziel-Dingman and John Radford and give her State of the City address.

An award presentation recognizing city employees for 20 to 45 years of service will take place immediately following the State of the City address.
