BLACKFOOT — A woman is facing an enhanced driving under the influence charge after she drove her SUV onto the Snake River.

Courtney Silzly, 26, told investigators she accidentally hit a curb and slid onto the frozen river near Rose Road and Archery Range Road around 5:00 Saturday.

Crews were able to remove the SUV from the frozen ice and Silzly was taken to the hospital.

Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland tells EastIdahoNews.com Silzly had a blood alcohol level over .20. The legal limit is .08.

Silzly was booked in the Bingham County Jail. She is expected to appear in court this week.
