Remember a few months ago when Extra released this tear-jerking commercial spot featuring a fictional love story?
Well, the gum company is at it again – only this time, the story is very real.
In the new ad, released today, we’re introduced to Marcus and Jessica. They met in kindergarten, briefly dated in high school but then went their separate ways.
Jessica becomes a widow at age 25 when her husband dies fighting in Afghanistan. She is 8-months-pregnant with their baby girl.
The young mother starts an in-home daycare to get back on her feet. Then, in a twist of fate, Marcus reconnects with his old girlfriend while inquiring about daycare for his two daughters from a previous marriage.
This is where the video picks up – detailing the love story, courtship and eventual engagement of Jessica and Marcus.
