The following is a news release from Brigham Young University-Idaho.

REXBURG — The award-winning Vocal Spectrum will headline this year’s BYU-Idaho Barbershop Music Festival Feb. 20 in Rexburg.

Concerts on Saturday will be at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. in the Barrus Concert Hall of the Snow Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $12 for the general public and $6 for BYU-Idaho students. They are available online at tickets.byui.edu, at the Kimball Ticket Office or by calling 496-3170.

Also performing at the concert will be the BYU-Idaho Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, student quartets and the Carousel Chorus from Rexburg.

Vocal Spectrum has been singing together since 2003. The four men all graduated from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Vocal Spectrum was originally formed as a one-time educational quartet to sing for a local high school and has never stopped singing since.

All members of the quartet sing with the Ambassadors of Harmony (2004 and 2009 international chorus champions).

Vocal Spectrum won the 2004 International Collegiate Quartet Contest held in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2006 the group won the International Barbershop Quartet Contest, becoming the first quartet in history to win all three possible gold medals (Collegiate Quartet, Men’s Quartet and Chorus Medal).
