The following is a news release from the city of Idaho Falls.

IDAHO FALLS — The city of Idaho Falls has completed snow removal activities associated with the recent winter weather event. As a result, the Snow Removal Proclamation and the associated residential parking restrictions have been lifted.

The crews will continue to work on removing snow from cul-de-sacs over the next few days.

The city would like to thank residents and the traveling public for their cooperation during this process.

In the event of another significant snowfall accumulation, residents are reminded to tune into local media outlets and the city’s social media pages where snow alerts will be communicated. Residents can also sign up to receive text alerts by texting ifalerts to 91011. The text alerts are only used for emergency purposes or for communicating time-sensitive information, such as parking restrictions, to the public.

We will be orchestrating a public dialogue to gather public opinion about our snow removal procedures, with the intent to gather information from a variety of sources such as emails, questionnaires and public meetings. The public will be notified when the details are finalized.
