IDAHO FALLS — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz will be visiting Idaho just one day before the state Republican primary election.

Cruz is scheduled to visit the Gem State on March 7, according to Idaho Republican Party Region VII Chairman Bryan Smith.

Smith says three events are tentatively planned – one in Coeur d’Alene at 10:00 a.m., another in the Boise area at 3:30 p.m. and a final stop in Idaho Falls at 6:30 p.m.

Region VII Republicans are hosting the Idaho Falls meeting, which will be free and open to the public at the Shilo Inn.

Smith stressed the visits are tentative and times could change.

“We’re inviting other presidential candidates, including Donald Trump and Marco Rubio, to come,” Smith said.

Cruz is the latest candidate to visit Idaho. Marco Rubio has stopped by Idaho Falls twice and former candidates Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina and Rand Paul have all campaigned in Idaho within the past six months.

EastIdahoNews.com will post details of Cruz’s visit once they have been announced.
