  • Enter roundabout when there is a safe entry gap.

  • Do not stop in the roundabout for emergency vehicles; pull over after exiting.
  • Think ahead; be aware of where you want to go and which lane will allow such a movement.

  • Ride in the center of the lane you occupy.
  • Use proper hand signals to exit.
  • If uncomfortable with riding through the roundabout, exit the roadway and use cross-walks to cross the intersection.
  • Become a pedestrian and walk bike across the crosswalk.

Pedestrians

  • Be aware of traffic in roundabout and approaching the roundabout.
  • Identify gaps in traffic which will be safe to walk through.
  • If roundabout is busy be use caution; stand on the curb or just in the cross-walk.
  • Drivers are required to yield if pedestrian is in the crosswalk.
  • Pedestrians are required to enter the cross-walk in a safe manner and cross swiftly.
