Shelley High School Athletic Director David Hadley has resigned

  Published at

SHELLEY — David Hadley, the athletic director at Shelley High School, resigned Tuesday, according to officials at Shelley Joint School District 60.

Superintendent Bryan Jolley confirmed Hadley’s resignation to EastIdahoNews.com, but offered no comment on why he resigned other than it was for personal reasons.

Court documents show Hadley is facing a misdemeanor battery charge following an encounter with a female student in April of last year. Hadley pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor in December and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, Feb. 9.

In January, more than 100 parents attended a Shelley school board meeting to voice their concerns about the district. The incident with Hadley was one of the concerns brought up by parents.
