The top morning habits of successful people

  Published at  | Updated at

If you start your day with a quick jog or by helping your kids get off to school, your morning routine has something in common with some of the most successful people around.

HomeArena released an infographic outlining the morning agenda for 23 successful people, such as Mark Zuckerberg or President Barack Obama. The top two morning activities these people shared were exercise and spending time with family.

Maybe a 6-mile morning jaunt like Twitter’s founder Jack Dorsey doesn’t sound appealing, but people who workout in the morning often report physical and emotional benefits from making it a habit. Starting your day with exercise can help you have more energy to tackle the rest of the day’s obligations (even with a better mood), fight off food cravings later and promote better personal health.

Finding time for family in the morning doesn’t have to be a big ordeal either. According to the infographic, several of the people on the list said their family time included eating breakfast with their children and seeing them out the door before school. UK Prime Minister David Cameron specifically mentioned the lack of television during his family time.

So, if you’ve been waiting to see some success in your life, it may be as simple as not hitting the snooze button, pouring your kids some cereal and running around the block.
